I give lessons, coaching sessions and ongoing classes and workshops for adults and present school assemblies and classroom workshops for children.

  • Improve for All (2020-23) More than forty ongoing classes, short workshops and special events, all on Zoom, for more than 200 students. Topics: historical improvisation, performance practice, musical skills, special topics in medieval, renaissance and baroque music, English Country Dance.
  • Christmas Collegium (2013-present)  A week of lectures and hands-on classes on topics in early and traditional music
  • Tune-Up (2012-present)  Musical skills for choral groups (music reading/section blending)
  • What’s That Note, Inc. (2000-present)  Musical skills (sight singing/ear training/audition techniques) for amateur and professional singers
  • SoundCatcher: Play by Ear (1983-present)   Combining what you hear and what you know to  create a practical method of playing music by ear
  • Washington (DC) Academy of Early Music (1982-90)  Classes in beginning viol, recorder, performance practice and early music ensemble for adult amateurs
